Meeting Days

The business meeting starts at 10:00 AM and runs for about 2 hours

đź§µ Sew Days & Classes – 4th Friday of each month.   Come Sew with Us!  9:30 AM – 3:00 PM

We are a group of quilters who love the art of quilting and enjoy connecting with others in our community who share our enthusiasm. Whether you’re a lifelong quilter or just beginning, we welcome you to join our guild, learn new skills, and share your knowledge with others. We look forward to meeting a new quilting friend!

Our Story

Founded in 1992, the Rhododendron Quilt Guild is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the art of quilting. Over the years, our membership has steadily grown, and together we create quilts for local charities and community projects. (See our Giving Quilt page for details on our outreach.)

When We Meet

General Meetings – 2nd Friday of each month
Includes business updates, announcements, Block of the Month, 50/50 drawing, refreshments, and Sew & Tell, where members share their finished projects.

Social & Educational Meetings – 4th Friday of each month
Features Sew Days, Trunk Shows, and Instructional Classes.
⏰ Meets 10 AM – 2 PM at the same location.
(Sew Days are canceled in November & December for the holidays.)

Programs & Education

Our Programs Committee schedules engaging classes throughout the year.

Class signup sheets are available at meetings.

A deposit is required to hold your spot.

Refunds are generally given if cancellation is made at least two weeks in advance.

Most classes have limited seating.

Supply lists are provided when deposits are paid.

Membership

Dues: $30 per year (calendar year begins in September).

Prorated Dues: $15 if joining after March 1.

New members receive a membership card, roster, program calendar, and Sew Day info.

Quilt shops may offer a 10% discount with your Guild card—be sure to carry it!

Our Mission

The Guild is committed to: Sharing quilting knowledge and appreciation. Promoting interest in the art of quilting.

Creating an atmosphere of social and educational exchange.

Special Events

We don’t just quilt—we celebrate! Members enjoy:

An annual picnic in August (members & guests).

A yearly exchange potluck with the Reedsport Quilt Guild.

A festive Holiday Potluck & Party for members and honored guests.

Come visit one of our meetings—you’ll find a welcoming community of quilters of all skill levels. We are proud members of the Florence Chamber of Commerce, and both adults and young adults are invited to join.
